Mobile internet links down in Guinea-Bissau

Thursday 2 July 2015 | 11:20 CET | News
Internet services are almost paralyzed in Guinea-Bissau due to connection problems with countries that provide the signal, a recurring problem in recent weeks, a source from one of the companies supplying the service told Lusa. The only commercial mobile broadband offer is limited due to a fibre-optic connection failure that distributes the signal in the country, according to a message from Orange Bissau to customers. A similar situation happened in mid-June, when the 3G+ mobile broadband offer was unavailable for over 48 hours.
