Mobistar in talks to add Netflix, other VoD services

Friday 22 April 2016 | 12:35 CET | News
Mobistar is in talks to add a range of VoD services to its new broadband and TV offering over cable networks. CEO Jean-Marc Harion told the paper L'Echo that the company had already had contact with Netflix, which is distributed on a non-exclusive basis on Proximus' IPTV platform. Amazon's VoD service should also be added "soon", and HBO Go, within at least 18 months. Harion said Mobistar sees itself as a distributor and wants to give its customers a wide range of choice. It's following the tendency in the market towards VoD, with Netflix already having around 300,000 customers in Belgium.
