Molina named head of Dominican Republic watchdog

Thursday 22 February 2018 | 15:03 CET | News
The Dominican Republic president Danilo Medina has appointed Luis Henry Molina as the head of the country's telecommunications regulator Indotel, replacing Jose Del Castillo who has been in the post since August 2016. Molina was previously director of the country's export and investment centre and will be tasked with continuing the migration to digital terrestrial television (DTT), scheduled to end in 2021, and completing the auction of 30MHz of spectrum in the 1700-2100MHz (AWS) band.
