More Wiltshire premises to get faster broadband

Wiltshire County Council in the UK has announced a new GBP 3.8 million deal to extend high-speed fibre broadband to more than 5,000 additional homes and businesses across the county. The project will extend the roll-out of fibre broadband through the Wiltshire Online project, which began connecting the first homes and businesses to faster fibre broadband at end-2013 and has so far enabled over 62,000 premises for fibre broadband. The new deal provides GBP 2.46 million funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport's Superfast Extension Programme (SEP), GBP 0.5 million from Wiltshire
