Morocco approves use of 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi

Morocco's telecom authority ANRT said that the country is the first in Africa to authorise the use of 6 GHz frequencies for faster Wi-Fi connectivity. The regulator has published a decision detailing a number of amendments concerning spectrum used with low-power short-range devices. Among the changes, it is now possible to take advantage of the Wi-Fi 6E standard, which can significantly boost the speed of licence-exempt indoor wireless networks.
