Most Americans oppose Comcast-Time Warner Cable deal

Thursday 19 June 2014 | 16:04 CET | News
Most Americans are opposed to the proposed merger between Comcast and Time Warner Cable, according to a new public opinion poll by the Consumer Reports National Research Centre. The poll showed just 11 percent of the public supports the merger, 56 percent oppose, and 32 percent had no opinion. Large majorities agree that the deal will hurt consumers by leading to higher prices, fewer choices, and reduced incentives to provide good customer service.
