Most German retailers use data-driven systems to improve customer service

The majority (82%) of German retailers use data-driven systems to improve customer service, according to a study conducted by Deutsche Telekom. Sixty percent of retailers will stick to plans to invest in future digitisation projects despite the coronavirus pandemic, 22 percent want to ramp up investments and just 17 percent have to reduce their IT investments due to the virus. Services such as digital checkouts, electronic price tags, smart shelves and digital displays add to current digital progress at German firms.
