Motorola Mobility reported first-quarter sales up 2 percent year-on-year to USD 3.1 billion. The company's net loss was little changed, at USD 86 million or 28 cents a share, versus USD 81 million or 27 cents a share a year ago. After cash burn of USD 98 million in the quarter, Motorola finished March with total cash of USD 3.5 billion. The Mobile Devices division generated revenues of USD 2.2 billion, up 3 percent compared with the year-ago quarter, while its operating loss widened to USD 121 million from USD 89 million.
