Movistar, Claro, Entel to return spectrum to unblock 5G impasse - report

Chilean operators Claro (America Movil), Movistar (Telefonica) and Entel have finally agreed to return mobile spectrum in the 3.5GHz band to pave way for a forthcoming tender of 5G-ready frequencies, reports La Tercera. The operators informed the country's telecommunications regulator (Subtel) that they are now prepared to comply with a court order to return the surplus spectrum to fulfil spectrum caps following a number of appeals.
