Movistar Mexico sees record revenue growth in Q1

Movistar Mexico's first-quarter revenues reached EUR 390 million, which represents a growth of 9.3 percent compared to the year-earlier period, the highest year-on-year growth recorded since the second quarter of 2010, Telefonica said. Mobile service revenues rose 6.4 percent year-on-year, while data revenues accounted for 25 percent of mobile service revenues, falling 15 percent year-on-year due to the reduced volume of SMS resulting from the restructuring of tariff plans, partially offset by the increase in non-SMS data revenues in the quarter, which advanced by 4.2 percent year-on-year and
