Movistar Spain removes BQ phones from portfolio - report

Movistar Spain (Telefonica) has decided to remove the devices of Spanish mobile phone manufacturer BQ from its smartpphone portfolio, reports website MovilZona. The operator has sold various models of BQ phones for years but increasing competition from Chinese manufacturers and disappointing sales of the most recent Aquaris-branded devices has prompted Movistar to drop its support. Sales of BQ's smartphones remained flat at just over 1 million last year, with the company ending 2015 with a 6.1 percent share of the Spanish smartphone market. However, the manufacturer still has deals in place
