Movistar tops Mexico 4G ranking in speed, Telcel in coverage

Wednesday 27 March 2019 | 13:57 CET | News
Mexican operator Movistar (Telefonica) still offers the fastest 4G download speeds in the country while Telcel (America Movil) has the best coverage, according to the latest study from Tutela. The survey of 5.3 billion records between September 2018 and February 2019 revealed that that all three major networks (Telefonica, Telcel and AT&T) provide good download throughput to their users via speeds greater than 10Mbps. Movistar delivered the best download speed over a 4G connection, with AT&T topping the 3G. However, the gap between first and last place was just 3.1Mbps, said Tutela.
