Mozilla launches Equal Rating startup challenge

Mozilla has launched a global contest to encourage entrepreneurs, designers, researchers and innovators to come up with creative and scalable ideas for connecting more people to the internet. The Equal Rating Innovation Challenge offers mentorship and total prize money of USD 250,000 for the three best ideas, which it says need to be based on local knowledge and expertise, while challenging existing approaches. Applicants can submit their ideas between 01 November 2016 and 06 January 2017, with the winners of the three categories – Best Overall (based on scalability), Best Overall Runner-up
