Mozilla unveils iOS 9 content blocker

Mozilla has launched a free content blocker for Safari users on iOS 9 called Focus by Firefox and designed to block ads, analytics and social media. It also allows increased performance on mobile devices by blocking web fonts, said Mozilla, adding that, unlike other tools, Focus by Firefox will be transparent about how the content is blocked. To do so, the company will use a public tracking list provided by Disconnect, which also powers the Private Browsing option on the desktop version of Firefox, to inform users and content providers of the standards applied.
