MPs questions Samsung smart TV privacy conditions

The general conditions of Samsung's smart TVs may be in violation of privacy regulations, according to two Dutch MPs from the Labour Party (PvdA). In questions to the Justice minister, they referred to a report by RTL Nieuws on 19 January. Samsung confirmed to the broadcaster that the TVs retain information on viewing behaviour, in order to make content recommendations to users. This information can also be sold to third parties.
