MTN calls US supreme court ruling positive in Turkcell suit

MTN Group CEO Sifiso Dabengwa has lauded a US Supreme Court ruling as a major boost to its defence against a USD 4.2 billion lawsuit from rival Turkcell, Reuters reported.Turkcell is suing MTN in a US federal court using a 224-year-old law. On 17 April, the US Supreme Court limited the ability of human rights plaintiffs to invoke that law.The federal court had delayed ruling on the Turkcell suit pending the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling.
