MTN condemns attacks on foreigners in South Africa, Nigeria

MTN Group has expressed concern over the violence that appears to be directed at non-nationals in South Africa and Nigeria and asked people to exercise restraint and remain calm. There were unconfirmed reports about attacks at offices that belonged to MTN. Reports indicated that Nigerians staged a protest outside the South African embassy in Abuja on 22 February, calling on authorities to "stop attacks on African nationals".
