MTN Ghana FY net profit rises 38%, revenue falls 16%

MTN Ghana said it recorded a net profit of GHS 1.39 billion for the year ended 31 December 2020, up by about 38.4 percent from GHS 1.01 billion in 2019. Total revenue decreased by 16.4 percent to GHS 6.03 billion from GHS 5.18 billion in 2019. EBITDA rose by 20.8 percent to GHS 3.18 billion from GHS 2.63 billion and the EBITDA margin widened to 52.7 percent from 50.8 percent in 2019. Capex rose by 33.9 percent to GHS 1.49 billion compared to GHS 1.11 billion in 2019.
