MTN Group appoints advisors for South African towers deal - report

MTN Group has appointed Citigroup and Standard Bank Group to advise on a sale and lease back of some of its South African telecom towers, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. MTN plans to raise between ZAR 5 billion and ZAR 10 billion, said the sources, who asked not to be identified. The mobile phone firm will seek to attract interest from specialist tower companies operating on the continent, they said.
