MTN Group mulls sale of stake in Botswana's Mascom - report

Wednesday 6 March 2019 | 10:38 CET | News
MTN Group is considering the sale of its stake in Botswanan mobile operator Mascom, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter, as CEO Rob Shuter seeks to reduce the number of countries in which the company operates. The sources, who declined to be named, said disposing of the interest in Mascom could generate as much as ZAR 2.5 billion. The sale process is under way and nothing has been publicly disclosed, they said.
