MTN Ivory Coast grows subscriber base in H1

MTN Ivory Coast showed a positive turnaround in the first half of 2017, according to its parent company. The unit benefited from significant network investments and increased its subscriber base by 16.2 percent to 11.0 million at the end of June. 

Total revenue increased by 13.0 percent in local currency, underpinned by good growth in outgoing voice and data revenue, up by 9.8 percent and 74.6 percent respectively. Digital revenue increased by 41.9 percent, with active MoMo customers increasing by 8.2 percent to 1.3 million.
