MTN joins Ubuntu Carrier Advisory Group

MTN has joined the Ubuntu Carrier Advisory Group (CAG), enabling it to be a launch partner for Ubuntu Touch, MyBroadband reported. The Ubuntu CAG is a body which lets mobile operators shape Ubuntu's mobile strategy. Canonical announced the formation of the Ubuntu CAG on 18 June. Founding members of the CAG include Deutsche Telekom, Korea Telecom, Telecom Italia, LG UPlus, Portugal Telecom and SK Telecom. CAG members have access to early information about Ubuntu and device manufacturer plans to support the OS. CAG members also have the opportunity to be a launch partner and gain the right to
