MTN Nigeria denies outstanding tax obligations

MTN Nigeria has declared that it made an advance tax payment of NGN 95.5 billion between March and June, ahead of the established deadline. Company secretary Uto Ukpana said this was done to support the government's revenue drive. In a letter to the Nigeria Exchange (NGX), Ukpana said it was important to clarify the matter, after erroneous media reports alleging that the company has outstanding tax obligations.
