MTN Nigeria posts lower EBITDA in H1

MTN Nigeria increased its subscriber base by 4.9 percent in the first half of 2015 to 62.8 million and said it maintained market share for the period. Subscriber growth was underpinned by improved segmented offerings, churn management and attractive promotions. However, the weak macro-economic environment, aggressive competition and operational execution challenges led to a 9.0 percent fall in revenue to ZAR 24.6 billion.
