MTN Nigeria tells staff to stay at home because of general strike over minimum wage

MTN Nigeria has told its staff to stay at home after the country's main trade unions launched a nationwide strike to demand a higher minimum wage from the government, Reuters reported. Talks between the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the government to avert the general strike broke down on 26 September.
