MTN risks sanctions over Iran, Syria operations

MTN Group is in danger of being hit by sanctions from the US for its activities in Iran and Syria, the Mail and Guardian reported. US President Barack Obama has issued an executive order that allows American authorities for the first time to impose sanctions on individuals or entities found to have used new technologies, including mobile phone tracking and online monitoring, to perpetuate "grave" human rights abuses.
