MTN Rwanda reinstates P2P transfer fees but keeps other mobile money services free

Tuesday 23 June 2020 | 10:43 CET | News
MTN Rwanda says it has revised its Mobile Money Person to Person (P2P) transfer fees effective 22 June. On March 18, the operator had scrapped charges for P2P transfers, Mobile Wallet to bank transactions and MoMoPay for 90 days in order to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmissions. The reinstated P2P transfer fees range from RWF 20 for amounts below RWF 1,000 to RWF 1,500 for sums RWF 150,000.
