MTN says its deal with Telkom was good for competition

MTN South Africa said it believes its mobile deal with Telkom would have encouraged competition in the mobile market by fostering efficient use of both networks. It said it would have benefited the sector and the country by catering to data growth. The operator regretted that the matter is not moving forward to the Competition Tribunal as the final decision-making authority.
