MTN South Africa FY service revenue rises nearly 2%

MTN South Africa's service revenue increased by 1.6 percent in the year ended 31 December 2020 boosted by a resilient performance in the broader consumer business unit (CBU) and growth in the enterprise business unit (EBU). Data revenue rose by 15.3 percent, supported by a 79 percent rise in traffic and an increase of 1.5 million active data subscribers to 15.7 million. Traffic growth was supported by ICASA's temporary assignment of high-demand spectrum.
