MTN South Africa joins ACE undersea fibre cable consortium

MTN Group says it has joined the ACE (African Coast to Europe) submarine communications cable consortium and aims to bring it to South Africa, MyBroadband reported. Group CEO Sifiso Dabengwa said that the operator has invested about USD 50 million in the cable, which is currently run by Orange.
