MTN to stay in Nigeria despite troubles

Tuesday 4 September 2018 | 13:21 CET | News

The relationship between MTN and its biggest market is under renewed strain after the demand, made on 30 August. The news came just three years after Nigeria hit the operator with a USD 5.2 billion fine — later reduced to about USD 1-billion — in an entirely separate dispute over Sim-card registration.
