MTN Uganda promotes MoMo among traditional market vendors via TV broadcasts

Monday 19 October 2020 | 13:57 CET | News
MTN Uganda is cooperating with BBS TV to broadcast a show called "Ebifa mu katale ne MTN" to encourage mobile money take-up at traditional outdoor marketplaces. As access to financial services supports economic growth, MTN Uganda will focus on increasing financial inclusion at grassroots level by registering market vendors to MTN MoMo for their business. Twenty markets will be covered but the partnership will commence at Kibuye, Katwe, Nakawa, Usafi and Wandegeya, with programmes aired on television screens installed in the partner markets, thrice a week.
