MTN Uganda reaches final stages of plan to list on bourse

MTN Uganda says it is in the final stages of fulfilling the government's requirement to list on the Uganda Securities Exchange, The Monitor reported. MTN CEO Wim Vanhelleputte said it will list in a few months, under a requirement for at least 20 percent of shares sold to the public. Under the National Telecom Operator Licence, MTN must list on the stock exchange by June 2022.
