MTN Zambia, Jumo and Barclays Bank launch Kasaka mobile savings

MTN Zambia, Barclays Bank Zambia and Jumo Mobile Money have launched Kasaka, a savings product aimed at the unbanked, reports the Daily Mail. Barclays Bank Zambia CEO Mizinga Melu says the country needs to digitise financial services to boost client acquisition and patronage. Melu says the new product expands the existing lending facility, Kongola which was launched in 2016 and has seen more than 5 million loans disbursed.
