Mobile operator MTS Ukraine announced the launch of 3G services from 13 March. The 3G Unlimited service is available for subscribers of the existing Tablet and Smartphone tariff lines. The monthly subscription of the Smartphone 0.25 package costs UAH 50, Smartphone 0.50 package sells for UAH 90, and the subscription to the Tablet package costs UAH 70.
MTS Ukraine concluded an agreement on national 3G roaming with the mobile operator Trimob in January and also recently secured its own 3G licence. MTS said roaming on Trimob offers speeds up to 7.2 Mbps, and its own network will support speeds up to 42 Mbps. The operator also started a video marketing campaign to promote the 3G service.
