MTS Ukraine launches 3G on Trimob network
Mobile operator MTS Ukraine announced that its subscribers are able to access national roaming services under the coverage of the 3G network of Trimob. Mobile internet services over the UMTS technology are now available for MTS customers using the Ultra VIP 3G tariff. The Trimob network offers speeds up to 7.2 Mbps and an average speed of 1.5-2 Mbps.

Mobile operator MTS Ukraine announced the launch of 3G services from 13 March. The 3G Unlimited service is available for subscribers of the existing Tablet and Smartphone tariff lines. MTS Ukraine expands packet network in big cities

Mobile operator MTS Ukraine has completed the deployment of its packet network in the Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. Ukraine raises UAH 8.8 bln in 3G tender

Ukraine has completed the tender of 3G licences in the 2,100 MHz band. The three largest operators, Life:), MTS Ukraine and Kyivstar each acquired 15-year licences for 30 MHz, the regulator NKRZI announced. Life:) made the highest bid of UAH 3.36 billion, MTS will pay UAH 2.72 billion, and Kyivstar offered UAH 2.7 billion. This brings the total proceeds for the state to UAH 8.77 billion. 3 largest Ukrainian mobile operators submit 3G applications

All three largest Ukrainian mobile operators, Kyivstar, MTS Ukraine and Life: ) Ukraine, have submitted applications to participate in a tender for 3G bands, reports BizLigaNet. The tender is due for completion by 16 February. The winners of the tender will be obliged to start providing 3G services in regional centres in eighteen months. MTS Ukraine grows 3G customer base with unlimited plans

Mobile operator MTS Ukraine announced that the number of new subscribers connecting to the MTS Connect 3G services jumped by 87 percent in April-July of this year. Ukraine finalises terms for 3G tender

Ukraine's telecommunications regulator NKRZI has finalised the terms of the 3G licence tender, said Alexander Zhivotovsky, the head of the regulator, at a press conference reported by BizLigaNet. MTS Ukraine prepares network for 3G

Mobile operator MTS Ukraine, in cooperation with Nokia, has completed a large network upgrade. New equipment was introduced, preparing the network for the quick introduction of 3G technology once spectrum comes available. The capacity of the network, as well as the voice quality, was also improved. MTS deployed the Nokia mobile softswitch server, multimedia gateway and Single RAN platform under the project.
