MultiChoice says it welcomes competition from Netflix

MultiChoice says it welcomes competition from internet video company Netflix as it gives consumers more options and the ability to compare services, Fin24 reported. MultiChoice reported that it had 5.6 million DStv subscribers in South Africa in September 2015, up from 5.2 million September 2014. MultiChoice said that it has been expanding its video on demand range, for example, by adding a catch-up service for 'Premium', 'Extra' and 'Compact' customers.
