Music remains revenue growth driver for Vivendi, as banks selected for Universal Music stake sale

Friday 26 July 2019 | 10:47 CET | News
Vivendi reported second-quarter revenues of EUR 3.89 billion, up 7.7 percent year-on-year at constant currency and perimeter (+5.7% in Q1). Growth on a reported basis accelerated to 16.2 percent (+10.7% in Q1), partly reflecting the acquisition of French publishing group Editis. As in previous quarters, the strong performance at Universal Music (UMG) fuelled Vivendi's growth, with revenues at the subsidiary rising 18.4 percent organically to EUR 1.76 billion (+18.8% in Q1).
