MVNO Europe calls on German regulator to impose 5G access requirements

Industry group MVNO Europe has called on Germany's national telecoms regulator, the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA), to institute mandatory wholesale network access requirements ensuring MVNO access to 5G networks in next year's auctions for 2 GHz and 3.6 GHz spectrum. The group alternatively called on the BNetzA to "structurally encourage" participants in the 5G auctions to make formal commitments to offer credible wholesale network access, as the incumbent mobile network operators have not signaled any intention of enabling non-discriminatory access to their grids or support Internet of
