MyBroadband revamps its speed test platform

South African IT news website MyBroadband has revamped its internet connection testing platform, offering more speed test server locations and adding a speed test result image link. MyBroadband said in a statement that it has logged over 80,000 monthly speed tests. Some broadband providers and ISPs had concerns that MyBroadband's speed test was not hosted in a neutral environment. Teraco and NAPAfrica shared these concerns, and offered to sponsor both the server hardware and bandwidth to move MyBroadband's speed test platform to a neutral environment.
