NamPower launches wholesale fibre optic network

Namibian state-owned electricity utility NamPower has launched the Grid Online, a fibre-optic network that will use the firm's existing infrastructure to offer wholesale services to third parties. NamPower MD Kahenge Haulofu said through its offering, start-up companies would be able to enter the market without the burden of expensive network infrastructure.
