NBC Olympics selects Microsoft Azure for Rio 2016

Microsoft was selected by NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, to provide cloud encoding and hosting with video workflows for NBC Olympics' production of the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, which take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 5-21 August. Microsoft will provide streaming service for NBCUniversal and NBCOlympics.com's record 4,500 hours of online content. To deliver authenticated streaming coverage live and on-demand, Microsoft is working with Adobe Primetime Systems, Adobe's multi-screen TV delivery and monetisation platform, and its Primetime TV publishing and monetisation
