NBCUniversal inks deal to bring live events to Twitter worldwide

Twitter has announced a new, multi-year partnership with NBCUniversal, which will bring premium digital content to Twitter, with live events such as sports highlights, red carpet livestreams, watch parties and fan voting. The move is expected to expand the advertising, audience and marketing reach for both companies. The deal covers Twitter markets globally, which spans the NBCUniversal Sky footprint worldwide.

Across the globe, NBCUniversal will offer Golden Globes highlights on Twitter, amplifying coverage from NBCUniversal properties to coincide with the NBC broadcast of the event on 28 February. Content will be developed and distributed on Twitter via @nbc, @enews, and @latinxnow handles.

NBCUniversal and Twitter will also give viewers an exclusive fan experience for more than 30 upcoming live events, from Telemundo's Latin American Music Awards, news on Noticias Telemundo and the E! People's Choice Awards, to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and sports action on NBC Sports, Telemundo Deportes, Sky Sports, and Golf Channel.

In February, to celebrate Black History Month, NBCUniversal will turn to Twitter to amplify interviews on racial justice and equity with Black business owners, designers, artists and CEOs. NBCUniversal will meanwhile continue to deliver Bravo content on Twitter including the Andy Cohen-led Watch What Happens Live After Show.
