NBN Co prepares fibre-to-the-building pilot
The Australian government company rolling out the National Broadband Network, NBN Co, has called on ISPs to participate in a fibre-to-the-building pilot. The pilot will begin in the new year and will roll out fibre-to-the-building in up to ten large office complexes and apartment blocks across the country, comprising up to 1,000 individual homes and offices. The pilot programme is expected to last three months, with the precise location of the premises still to be determined.

Take-up of National Broadband Network (NBN) services in Canberra have surpassed take-up rates in other states. NBN Co has downgraded revenue projections for the Australian government's broadband policy by up to thirty percent by 2021, ABC News reports citing leaked internal documents.
