NBN, Telstra postpone copper-based service disconnect plan

NBN and Australian incumbent telco Telstra have decided to postpone previous plans to disconnect cooper-based services in 58 areas where fibre-based broadband service is currently being offering to consumers and businesses. The two companies originally intended to shut down the copper-based services in these fibre serving area modules (FSAMs) during the Christmas and New Year period, however those plans have been delayed to ensure that affected users would be notified of the impending disconnection.
