NCC suspends regulatory services for MTN Nigeria – report

The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has suspended all regulatory services to MTN Nigeria until the mobile operator pays a fine of USD 5.2 billion in connection with unregistered SIM cards, The Leadership reported. The fine relates to the timing of the disconnection of 5.1 million MTN Nigeria subscribers in August and September and is based on a fine of NGN 200,000 for each unregistered subscriber.
