NCC to unveil cost-based pricing for fixed transmission

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said it will unveil new pricing costs for wholesale fixed transmission service providers, ThisDay reported. It said the new pricing will accelerate broadband penetration by making transmission links competitive and affordable to end-users. NCC Executive Vice Chairman Umar Danbatta said research carried out by KPMG in conjunction with telecom operators found that the old wholesale fixed pricing has been excessively discriminatory and arbitrary for operators and users.
