Nearly one third of all smartphones to adopt UWB by 2025 - study

Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology will feature in nearly 514 million smartphone shipments in 2025, around 32.5 percent of the market, up from 42 million (3%) in 2019, according to a report from ABI Research. Early adoption of the technology by Apple and Samsung will enable smartphones to lead the market of UWB technology, which provides a highly accurate, low-power consuming and secure wireless ecosystem for locating a device's position, movement and distance.
