Net neutrality bad for innovation, consumers - Interoute

Net neutrality hinders investment and innovation in network infrastructure and will will be ultimately detrimental for consumers, Interoute CEO Matthew Finnie said in response to the Dutch vote to include a net neutrality amendment in the Telecommunications Act. The CEO of the European fixed network operator continued, saying that Dutch operators were rightly frustrated "because every consumer who uses a free app prompts network costs that can not be passed on to the consumer. Investments should be encouraged."
