Netflix acquires Ghana's 2020 Oscars submission 'Azali' for streaming from February

Netflix has announced that it has acquired 'Azali', which is Ghana's 2020 Oscars entry, and will make it available for streaming in February. The film tells the tale of fourteen-year-old Amina, who flees her arranged marriage to a 70-year-old village farmer. She ends up a victim of human trafficking but manages to escape to Accra, where she must decide either to return home to the marriage or try to survive on her own.
